Rural Voluntary Services (RVS) has been running a Shakti Sadan for destitute women and victims of trafficked women and girls ( including the vulnerable women and girls) at Wangbal Mayai Leikai, Thoubal District, Manipur with the financial assistance from the Ministry of Women & Child Development,Govt.of India and Social Welfare Department, Govt. of Manipur.

Rural Voluntary Services (RVS) has been running an Open Shelter for Girls namely “ Eramdam Ningol Sanglen (ERNS)” at Wangbal Laikol, Thoubal District, Manipur with the financial assistance from the Social Welfare Dept. Govt. of Manipur under the Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS) since 2015, now as Mission Vatsalya.

Targeted Intervention ( TI ) Projects is major continuation project of the Organization. The main objective of the project is to minimize the spread of HIV infection among the injecting Drug Users and to their sexual partners and spouses through a comprehensive harm reduction approach and activities, creation of an enabling environment through ongoing community advocacy, outreach services, sensitization the general community etc. The project was initiated since 1st August 2005 at Wangjing Bazar with the target of 350 IDUs in Thoubal District, Manipur.

During the period under report , the organization Rural Voluntary Services (RVS) has been established a Shakhi Niwas( A working Women Hostel) at Athokpam Awang Leikai, Thoubal District, Manipur with the financial assistance from the Ministry of Women & Child Development,Govt.of India and Social Welfare Department, Govt. of Manipur

During the period 2024-25, in continuation the New Life Sanglen organized various welfare programme for transmen at the training hall of the Sanglen at Wangjing Bazar area, Thoubal District, Manipur from the own sources of the organization. The organization has been identified 30 (Thirty)Transmen who are denial from the family including their parents about their gender identity. Due to the harassment and aggressiveness of the family members compelled those to leave their family while many continue to bear the sufferings without much support and help.

The project was initiated since 15th March 2025 at Khangabok with the target of 100 young IDUs and 50 Oral in Thoubal District, Manipur. During the period 2024-2025 the project covered 120 young IDUs and 58 Oral adolescent, out of this 12 are newly enrolled in this financial year and 1 reported death, 1 dropped out and 4 Oral user were enrolled among young IDUs.118 IDUs and 58 Oral are remaining by the end of this year as the active population

The following are the main components of the project

5 (five) Cluster Link Workers were selected based on their good conduct and punctuality over the last 12 months, excellence performance against the project target and new initiatives and efforts taken by the Cluster Link Worker to strengthen the program or to achieve the project activities.

During the period 2024-2025, the organization has been provided basic treatment and counseling to the 183 addicted females from the different places of Thoubal District, Manipur, even from outside Manipur also, under IRCA which is sponsored by the organization. The organization was started the program since 2019 with the full establishment (with enrolled) under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India.
